SouWe Jo Dawg
My sloppy concoction is in the link above, Zelda.
Simply put, construction of these sandwiches was meant to not be completely sloppy. Waffle Fries were utilized to stabilize the sandwich.
The Whole Wheat Buns were toasted prior to being lathered with a mixture of Vegenaise, BBQ Sauce and Horseradish. They were then slightly broiled.
The bottom portion of the Bun was layered with a few Waffle Fries. The concept was to hold the SouWe Jo slop intact. The top bun covered the Awesomeness and BOOM.
SouWe is short for Southwest and somewhat rhymes with sloppy. The Vegan SouWe concoction consists of Beyond Meat crumbles, Garlic, Corn, Black Beans, Peppers, Onion, Liquid Smoke, Water, Hot Sauce and Sea Salt/Pepper.
The Vegan Dawgs were lightly grilled before being tossed into bun and slopped with the SouWe Jo greatness.
To be continued…..
A sauce was started by panfrying Garlic, Onion, Bell Peppers, Jalapeño, Ⓥ Cheican, Corn, Meatless Crumbles, Seasonings (Hot Sauce, Sea Salt & Pepper) to be softly blackened.
Veggie Broth, Sugar and Garlic Powder was stirred in and simmered for a bit before (store bought) Marinara was added. Cooked Black Eyed Peas were tossed in and this flavorful textured mixture was slow cooked for a few hours with Tofurky Italian Sausages in the chaos in this pot.
In Whole Wheat Buns, the marinated Sausages plopped into and topped with the Cajun/Creole – style Saucy greatness. Daiya partially covered this sandwich and then broiled lightly. Garnished with Parsley and a Smile, with simplicity yet complexity, this hit the spot.
Garlic, Onion, Riced Cauliflower and Jalapeño were panfried in Olive Oil. After color was obtained, Sea Salt and Pepper was mixed in with Cheican.
In a mixing bowl, sliced Lettuce, chopped Arugula, Pico de Gallo, Olives and Mushroom were standing by.
Kidney Beans, Corn and Carrot slices were ready and drained.
Mixed all together with Ⓥ sour cream, Guacamole and Tortilla Chips, a magnificent Salad was built and enjoyed.
As of 2020, the world’s doomsday clock has been set to a short 100 seconds. That was before this damn virus invaded our lives. Hopefully, immune systems and summer climates destroy this Corona without a Lemon or a Lime.
Tofu was baked on a griddle before being tossed with light Olive Oil and Hot Sauce.
I picked up a unique Hot Sauce while visiting Northern Arizona in a “haunted” old mining town, Jerome, AZ. This Hot Sauce is extremely Southwestern with ingredients being; Habanero, Smoked Habanero, Carrot Puree, Piquine Peppers, Smokey Pepper Vinegar, Tequila, Lime Juice, Onion & Spices.
Flour Tortillas were baked while Iceberg & Romaine Lettuce was mixed with sliced Spinach, Hummus and Pico de Gallo (Tomato, Cilantro, Lime Juice, Onion & Jalapeño).
Hand washing has always been a very consistent thing in my life as it should be in yours.
Greetings, food consumers & beverage inducers. A buffalo Tofu Calzone was prepared today. Whiskey Habanero Hot Sauce was utilized in this creation.
Extra firm Tofu was sliced and baked in the buffalo sauciness. Pizza dough was apathetically formed and stuffed with Daiya, Scallions and Buffalo Tofu before going into the oven again.
Sliced ever so nice, paired with a great Beer and Robin Williams in Cadillac Man on the big screen made for a lovely lunch.
