Dub Roast Kale Choke Sliders

Guidelines:

Enjoy a beer or non-alcoholic beverage that you’ve never had before somewhere you’ve never been before.

thumb_img_9009_1024

Slice Potatoes flatter-style in half and oven-roast.

thumb_img_8986_1024

I also roasted a few (like 50) sunflower seeds again.

thumb_img_9007_1024

The dip that I developed to fill the Potato Sliders with consisted of; Cashew Milk, Dub Roasted (unsalted) Sunflower Seeds, Artichoke Hearts-diced, Onion-chopped, Carrot-diced, Corn, Daiya-Cream Cheese, Liquid Smoke, Kale-diced, Salt/Pepper/Sugar/GarlicP/ChipotleP, Daiya-havarti–chopped, post-roasted Potato guts after choked and murdered (iHatePlants)-hence, the choke in the title, Cilantro-chopped, and BlackeyedPeas.

thumb_img_8987_1024

I simmered all ingredients before thickening with a bit of Instant Mashed Potatoes.

thumb_img_8999_1024

Stuff those innocently choked dead Organic potatoes and roast again before slightly broiling.

thumb_img_9011_1024

I do not provide recipes, yet guidelines, to take into consideration in creating something different yourselves.

Ensalada de Mexicanoamericanos

Blackened Red Potatoes using Oil, Oregano, Cayenne, Chili Powder, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Sunflower Seeds and Daiya.

thumb_img_8931_1024

I baked a tortilla into a bowl to be stuffed with Iceberg Lettuce, Potatoes, Tomato, Corn with Cilantro, Black Olives, Mushroom, Carrot, Black Eyed Peas and Onion. I utilized Guacamole and Vegenaise for dressing.

Greek-Style Salad

My mother made some Vegan Potato Salad, greek-style, for me last weekend. I think she peeled Russet Potatoes and boiled them before cooling them and chopping to combine with Olive Oil, Red Wine Vinegar, Oregano, Scallions, Salt and Pepper. I finally fit it into my schedule to be consumed today.

When living off of preparing food for yourself and/or others, it is key to eliminate waste and utilize all ingredients. And that is often the biggest motivation to make different meals.

thumb_img_8938_1024

With Salad and I mean any type of salad, processed and pre-made dressings ruin salad and their potential health benefits. Natural raw flavor might not be for everyone, but if you train your pallet correctly, you’ll know what I’m talking about.

I chose to use, basically, my mom’s marinated Potatoes as my dressing. The flavors of other ingredients will act as helping this salad be drastically edible.

thumb_img_8937_1024

I baked a tortilla to serve the Salad in. I threw in Iceberg Lettuce, Tomato, Capers, Olives, Black Eyed Peas, and Mushrooms with my mothers Potatoes.

Make your own!

StirⓋrizza

I unfortunately do not make time to dabble in the art of making fresh dough these days, so for this recipe I used Mama Mary’s (Ⓥegan) pizza dough. It is excellent and gives you (me) endless pizza construction possibilities.

thumb_img_8746_1024thumb_img_8703_1024

I mixed Thai Peanut Sauce with Tamari and Sriracha for my pizza sauce.

thumb_img_8905_1024

I stir-fried Garlic, Sunflower Seeds, Carrot, Celery, Onion, Cabbage, Mushroom and chopped Daiya (Havarti Jalepeno) with Wok Me Up Garlic Stir Fry (chopped Tofu and the (Ⓥegan) Sauce).

thumb_img_8864_1024thumb_img_8743_1024

thumb_hjmd2026_1024thumb_cnkz2082_1024

Smothering the already prepared pizza dough with the Peanut Sauce, I then put a few slices of Swiss Daiya ‘cheese’ before adding the StirⓋry to be slow roasted in the oven at 250 F for 20 ish minutes. I broiled slightly.

I made some Brown Rice to consume with the remaining StirⓋry.

Vegan Pot Pie

Stew Carrot, Tempeh, Eggplant, Green Peppers, Onion, Cabbage in a mixture of Vegetable Broth, Molasses, Sugar, BalsamicVinegar, Sriracha, Italian Herbs, SeaSalt, Pepper, Daiya and BayLeaves removed.

thumb_img_8457_1024thumb_img_8458_1024thumb_img_8459_1024thumb_img_8453_1024

I bought a container of Pillsbury Crescent Dough Sheets and used that. I found a PotPie-like container and went with it. It cooked amazingly nice. To be remastered.

BillHicks-Style Soup

It makes for a great night to accidentally discover there is Bill Hicks comedy specials on Netflix. I talk badly, usually, about Netflix, these days. The amazing and rare discovery that I made, motivated me to make an impovisational late night soup after one too many Beers.

billhicks

For those who do not know who Bill Hicks is. A lot of you, probably shouldn’t know who he was. Bill Hicks passed away in 1994, to pancreatic cancer, at the age of 32. He was bluntly honest and widely controversial. A comedian with a severely dark persona. Will Melvin Hicks was on a higher level of comedy that only a few people have touched base with. And even some of his stuff pisses me off. That is how you know it is genuine. Horrible comedy pisses me off, but finding controversial comedy that somewhat gets under my skin is uncommon and unique.

thumb_IMG_7959_1024

On Netflix as of 6.6.16 = Bill Hicks : Sane Man , Bill Hicks : Revelations

thumb_IMG_7948_1024

The band Tool dedicated their 1996 album, Ænima, to Bill Hicks. Here is a YouTube link to its best song, in my opinion…

H.

This soup was easy and extremely delicious. I grilled halved Red and Yellow Potatoes while simmering Tomato Juice and Veggie Broth.

thumb_IMG_8080_1024

I threw in all sorts of leftover veggies consisting of: Onion, Tomato, Cucumber, Scallions, Celery, Parsley, Tofu, Tempeh, Japonica Rice and Garlic. I seasoned this Soup with Sugar, SeaSalt, Pepper, Cayenne, BalsamicVinegar and Garlic Powder.

thumb_IMG_8102_1024

I let it simmer for some more Bill Hicks Comedy before checking it again to realize that it needs more time. I made myself a sandwich of beer. The sandwich of Beer was simply a sandwich between two slices of Beer. I let the Soup simmer just above warm for the rest of the night.

thumb_IMG_8127_1024

There are things you can rush, but knowing ultimately that you cannot not rush something multiple beers deep, is the art of cooking.

thumb_IMG_7894_1024

I suggest any flavor of White Claw Hard Seltzer to anyone 21 or older.

thumb_IMG_7955_1024thumb_IMG_7954_1024

Refreshing.

thumb_IMG_7956_1024

I made a Daiya Cheese sandwich with two separate Grilled Daiya sandwiches capturing Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and Guacamole. With some evolved Soup materials on the side:)

thumb_IMG_8111_1024

Happy Tuesday! Go find a blood drive near you! I will be donating double red cells at noon today and so should you, if you qualify to.

Tofupeh Rangoon

I pictured these jumbo Tofupeh Rangoon turning out just a little bit better, visual-wise. The wonton wraps like to flop around, limply. And that is why the smaller wonton wraps are commonly used. All in all, they were still extremely deliciously edible.

thumb_IMG_7729_1024

My Sourly Sweet Sauce consisted of:

  • Pineapple Juice
  • Molasses
  • Rice Vinegar
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Tamari
  • SeaSalt
  • Cayenne
  • Garlic Powder
  • Corn Starch

The amazingly delicious Tofupeh:

  • Tempeh, diced
  • Tofu, extra firmly crumbled
  • Wasabi Powder
  • Tamari
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Thai Style Peanut Sauce
  • Daiya Cream Cheese
  • Daiya Jalapeno Havarti Cheese, diced
  • Scallions, chopped
  • SeaSalt/Pepper/GarlicP/Sugar/DillWeed

Basically, just pan-fried Tempeh and Tofu in oil before adding everything else.

thumb_IMG_7805_1024

I used Sugar/Water/Mollasses for Wonton adhesive. I baked the Rangoon on low heat.

thumb_IMG_7806_1024

The Wonton wraps contain less than 2% egg. I’d say this recipe is 99.5% Vegan.

thumb_IMG_7829_1024

Deliciously Dairy-Free.

RIP Gene Wilder.

Baked Tortellini

I’ve mentioned in previusly unread blogs, that I do not wish to continue being a stickler about minute (mynoot) amount of dairy or egg. I will probably never purchase cheese nor egg themselves ever again in my life.

thumb_IMG_7646_1024

I used Wonton wraps today that included less than 2% of egg.

Thus, I’ve been saying for a few weeks, I am 98% Vegan. The other day a coworker/friend offered me a cookie. She is Vegetarian and warned me that they consisted of a little egg. I thanked her for the information and consumed one delicious cookie. Stress kills and it’s not a good feeling to be excited for consumable food only to find out it conflicts with your lifestyle. I am keeping a small window open and that is truly up to me.

  • Heat Veggie Broth
  • Throw in (from a decent distance) Celery, Baby Carrot, Onion & Bay Leaves
  • Season with Basil, SeaSalt, Pepper, Sugar, BalsamicVinegar&GarlicPowder
  • Simmer down now
  • I thickened this Broth with InstantMashedPotatoes

thumb_IMG_7653_1024

I used leftover Fennel Cream which has not been blogged yet…

  • Roasted Fennel Seeds
  • Dill Weed
  • Scallions, diced
  • Vegenaise, mmmmm

thumb_IMG_7625_1024

I will not buy eggs. I will not physically cook with them. I mixed Sugar with Water to create an edible adhesive.

thumb_IMG_7643_1024

I pan-fried Tempeh in OliveOil, BalsamicVinegar, SeaSalt, Pepper, CrushedRedPepper, Sugar, Basil & GarlicPowder.

thumb_IMG_7644_1024

I stuffed the Tortellini with Fennel Cream, Tempeh & Daiya (Jalapeno Havarti:) and Baked them in the oven.

thumb_GYMX6496_1024

I adjusted my rear caliper on my FatBike and went for a small ride fighting the sunset and visibility without a light.

Ⓥraps

I will be BikePacking via FatBike this weekend and I plan on being better prepared than last year.

thumb_IMG_7314_1024

Vegan Fat Bike Packing

thumb_IMG_7293_1024

I made quite a few kickass Vegan Wraps, that are DAMN good! I will also be packing Nuts, Vegan Cliff bars and Larabars. If I’ll be drinking as much beer as last years Canal Grinder, I’ll need to keep a full stomach and have something for the next day. I might share a Ⓥrap or two. We’ll see.

thumb_IMG_7261_1024

I dusted off my arrogant and bastardish FatBike, whom I’ve named Arrogant Bastard, and rode in a strom last night. I got drenched, drank a couple of kickass beers and took some nice pics.

thumb_NUCH5597_1024

THE STORY OF MY LIFE.

thumb_IMG_7275_1024

  • I superly chopped Iceberg and Romain Lettuce. I combined diced Carrots, Celery and Onion with the Lettuce. Garbanzo Beans added.
  • I threw in Vegenaise, Balsamic Vinegar and Mustard with Celery Seed and Chipotle Powder.
  • There is such a thing as Peppered Tofurky, I promise you, and it is delicious. I unpeeled the Tofurky and butcherly chopped mixing extremely well.
  • I warmed Tortillas and wrapped that goodness up.
  • I tried one and packaged up 12 for tomorrow as long as they’ll fit and pack ok.

Cook on. #RideOn. Enjoy a Beer.
